How do Russians see other nations and countries, and how do other nations and countries see Russians? The issue of country image or, in another words, vision and perception of the country`s culture is studied within several fields: history of culture, social psychology, political science, etc. This book is the result of a seminar led by Iu.S. Borisov. It overviews numerous travel reports and diaries in the Middle Ages, and later articles in the mass media and the results of sociological surveys.
