This book is about the Russian Polar explorer, A. V. Kolchak (1873-1920) who by a capricious turn of historical events became better known as an admiral and the head of the Russian government in Siberia during the Civil War of 1918-1920. A. Kolchak took part in the Russian Polar expedition of 1900-1903 as hydrologist, cartographer, hydrochemist, and magnetologist. He led the rescue crew to search for the expedition commander E.V. Toll and three others. This book is a documented scholarly biography of Kolchak. It includes his chronology, bibliography of his works, some of his unpublished works, and a bibliography about him.
