The work of Nikolai Lvov (1753–1803) should be ranked with luminaries of the St. Petersburg classical school Ivan Starov, Giacomo Quarenghi and Charles Cameron in the history of late 18th century Russian architecture. Lvov’s architectural heritage is considerable and diverse, including numerous projects, realized structures and creative works on architecture and the art of garden and landscape design.
