This is a monograph by a well known Russian historian and philologist Aleksei Shakmatov (1864-1920) It consists of two parts. The first one is an unfinished work (1918). The second is a newly discovered work from the Shakmatov`s archive. The publication also includes the Old Russian texts on the subject: "Pamiati` i Pokhvala" by Iakov Moikh, Prolusion Zhitie, Obuchenie zhitie. Each of them are given in several versions. (0.585 kg.).
