This is a study in the history of philosophy, in particular Russian empirico-criticism on the background of Russian science and culture in 1877-1910). The author discusses the implications of this philosophy on the development of the party. D. Steila shows that after the publication of Lenin`s work Materialism and empirico-criticism this philosophical direction was misunderstood in Russia, which changed the political direction the country took.
