National income of Russia 1913-1928

The former statistical system, set up on the basis of a material production system (MPS) until 1990, has been replaced in Russia with that used in most Western market economies, the System of National Accounts (SNA). Russian national income has been calculated for all years of the 20th century except the period 1913-1928, the years of two wars and two revolutions. The authors calculated and compared national income for this period with others periods, and concluded that the Civil War was a greater catastrophe for Russia than even WWI.
