This is the first academic publication of the "Izvestie o Zhitii i Deistvakh Derzhavstvuiushchikh Velikikh Kniazei Rossiiskikh" also known as (Iur`evskaia Stepennaia Kniga). This book was created at the beginning of 18th century on instructions of Peter the Great and covers the period before the 1560s. However, "Izvestie" was not published, and the Russian society of the 18th – 20th centuries did not know about it.
