This monograph focuses on some little explored issues of general legal theory, namely theoretical issues of international contracts, contract regulations, contract lawmaking, and application of contract law. The work is based exclusively on Russian material. However, the author has tried to make maximum use of those foreign sources within his reach. The aim of this study is to offer some draft contours of general contract theory, and to contribute to changing the currently accepted opinion of the contract as a narrow concept.
