Poetics and aesthetics of Constantine Vaginov in the Russian literary context

Konstantin Vaginov (Vagengeim, 1899-1934), poet and writer, started his literary life in Gumilev’s "Tsekh Poetov", then in the group "Ostrovitiane", several other poetic groups, and finally joined Mikhail Bakhtin`s circle. He modelled one of the characters of his first novel from Bakhtin and his poet friends. He died by his own hand, before the NKVD arrived to arrest him.
