Peter the Third (1728-1762) ruled Russia for only one year and was deposed by his wife, who became known in Russian history as Catherine the Great. The second, Diary of a state-secretary by Mizere (unidentified author, supposedly a nickname of Ia. Shtelin). The third, Diary about staying in Russia by Thomas Dimsdale (1712-1800), physician and Quaker. The fourth, From Note Books by French diplomat M.-D. Korberon. Appendices include ten more documents of this epoch, mostly letters and diaries, which contain interesting facts and detail on the period between the reign of Peter the Third and Catherine`s coup d`etat.
