Lev Tikhomirov (1852-1923), a Russian historian and philosopher, in his youth was one of the editors of the newspaper "Narodnaia Volia". He later converted from a revolutionary to a proponent of the monarchical movement. This was hardly the only case in the history of the revolutionary movement. Tikhomirov developed his own theory of Russian statehood and the Russian monarchy. This work was written in 1913-1918. The current volume is the sixth edition of this work. Appendices (pp. 643-806).
