This is the sixth volume of the Russian Folklore Collection, Series “Bylinas”, started by the Institute of Russian Literature (Pushkinskii Dom). It includes bylinas collected at the basin of the Kuloi River in the Arkhangelsk Gubernia (Russian North). The first two volumes of the series embrace bylinas of the Pechora River region of the Russian North, the next three volume include bylinas of the Mesen River, also in the Russian North. Volume six contains 118 illustrations, both black-and-white and color. Many bylinas are provided with scores. Dictionary of obsolete words. Started in 2002.
