This is the sixth volume of documents on the history of the Soviet-American Relations. Included in this collection are previously unpublished documents and materials which record the relations between soviet Russia and the USA in the period 1945-1948: the first three years after WWII. The documents show how Russia and America defined the post-war world order and their first disagreement which led to the future Cold War. The documents from the Historical-Diplomatic Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation reflect the positions taken by the two sides, the objectives they pursued, the outcome of talks and the general state of the relations between them. 299 documents, subject and name indices.
