This book looks at the specifics of the Russian Revolution, which, unlike the French Revolution of 1789, grew out of war and was fed by a combination of intellectual maximalism and soldierly psychology. According to the author, the Russian Revolution and the Civil War (1917-1920s) emerged a result of "the combined rhythms of European and Russian history". Lenin acted using the laws of chaos and won. While a riot in Europe is followed by a return to individualism, Russian riots are succeeded by a return to the commune, itself a quasi-mob. The morality of "new marginals" first spelled total social unrestraint and later, having bored through the thickness of the traditionalist masses and penetrated to the upper class, transformed into the universal unctuosity of egalitarianism. The list of used sources and documents is significantly extended in the second edition in comparison with the first one (1997). Bibliographical references (1.545 kg.)
