This anthology, the second of five volumes, contains a detailed survey and analysis of Byzantine sources translated from Greek on the history of peoples of the Eastern Europe, including the peoples of Rus`. Each fragment is provided with an introduction and historico-philological comments. The book is meant to be a supplement to the teaching aid “Drevniaia Rus` v Svete Zarubezhnykh Istochnikov” (0.545 kg.). Some other volumes of the series are also available.
