The famous Morozov chorus was founded by the Morozovs dynasty of Old Believers in 1900. It performed mostly liturgical songs of one of the branches of this religion called Belokrinitsa Soglasie. The chorus started to perform in public after the granting of Old Believers religious freedom by Nicholas II in 1905. This monograph describes the singing culture of this branch, the first leaders of this chorus, as well as its first patron, merchant Arsenii Ivanovich Morozov (1850-1932). This book also analyzes the role and place of the chorus in the context of the "golden age" of Old Believer culture. Appendices, including scores of motets performed by the chorus.
