This is the ninth book of the series about literature of the native peoples of Siberia in the 20th centuries started in 2001. It includes 21 articles by specialists in this region, which trace the main periods and main authors of Dolgan literature. Though officially Dolgan literature began in 1973 when the first book was published in this language, the Dolgan folklore tradition is very old: the first written mention of this ethnos was in 1638.
