This is the second volume of a complete account of Byzantine data about medieval Russia collected from chronicles, documents, typicons, speeches, epistolographical texts, geographical treaties, monuments of epigraphics, sigillography, notes in manuscripts, and other sources dated from the 9th to the 15th centuries. This is an unprecedented edition in international historiography on Russia. The project is a result of the long-term study by the author, known for many publications on the subject. For the first time there are observed some scholia found in Byzntine manuscripts, colophons, and marginalia which contain references to Russia, as well as some unpublished late Byzantine sources. The current volume contains Russian translations of the Greek texts provided with comments, additional materials, and index. The first volume (2004) is not available.
