Anthropology of the female body in the Slavic tradition

The author describes the mythology of the female body, and of erotic life as they are presented in the Slavic cultural tradition, and supports her description with ethno-linguistic analysis. The study is focused on woman and her numerous functions and roles. It is based on folklore field studies in Poles`e, an ethnocultural community located in the European part of the FSU, in Belorussia, Russia, and Ukraine.
