This monograph explores the structure and the history of the Golubinaia Kniga, a book based in the Slavic pagan creation myth with Christian elements incorporated. For a time it was regarded as an apocryphal book, but in the 18th century it was forbidden. The core of this book is reputed to be almost 5,000 years old. One chapter includes six Indo-European sacred texts about the origin of the world, including the Golubinaia Kniga, and commentaries on them.
