This book is a testimony of two people about the creative life of writer Arkadii Belinkov (1921-1970) in soviet Russia and abroad; it is about the turns in his life: arrest, prison, emigration, and early death. The book includes fragments of published and unpublished works in which he narrates about himself, his life and time. The second part of the book was written by his wife Natal`ia. Based on archival documents and her memories, it tells about Belinkov`s fight to publish his works, and about his relations with great Russian writers: A. Akhmatova, K. Chukovskii, V. Shklovskii, etc.
