According to the authors of this book, Russia never had independent historical science: before the revolution it was sponsored by the imperial administration, after - by the soviet. A group of modern Russian historians collected together to write a new idealogy of the Russian state, came to unexpected conclusions: Russian state came first to the ideological crisis among other developed countries because it was based on the most archaic industrial ideology, the communist ideology based on materialism. They also accepted the fact that the ideology of liberalism did not help Russia to overcome this crisis. The authors developed a new alternative to materialsm, called `energetic" and offered a new ideology deduced from the energetic concept - a philosophy of freedom and fairness.
