Procurator Oleg Gazdanov was assigned to be a special investigator of several notorious criminal cases in 1993-1994: confrontation between El`tsin and the Supreme Council (Khasbulatov) in 1993; "Fish mafia", Rashidov`s case (Uzbekistan), case of "Vlastelina", case of "The CPSU`s gold", etc. He occupied the room which belonged to Stalin when he worked in the Kremlin. Forced to resign from the Procurator office by influential people from the El`tsin inner circle, Gazdanov continued his legal service in other positions. This book tells about many of the cases he worked on in Russia and other republics of the former USSR.
