ISBN: 5289002146This is a guide to the Pavlovsk palace-museum in the town of Pavlovsk, which was built near St. Petersburg in 1777 by Catherine the Great for her son, the Grand Duke Pavel (Emperor, 1796-1801). For 140 years it belonged to the members of the Imperial House, and was their summer residence. Each park structure and many buildings of the old town were erected in conformity with the consent, and sometimes the architectural plan of the titled owners. Many events in the life of the Romanovs took place here.
