It is devoted to the Jewish intellectuals from Czechoslovakia, Germany, Austria, Holland and Denmark, who literally "at the threshold of death" conducted for the camp population thousands of events: lectures, seminars and discussions on highly diversified, sometimes unexpected themes: Plato, Goethe`s "Faust", the Japanese theater, Nikolai Gogol, the meaning of life, art, poetry and religion. The edition is profusely illustrated by drawings, documents, photographs, and stills from Terezin Nazi propaganda films. The first and second volumes in Russian were published in 2003 and 2005.
