Vladimir Bol`shakov, a "Pravda" correspondent in Europe, had an unique opportunity to examine the process of the transformation of Russia in 1985-2005. He is looking for circumstances, reasons and forces of the Russian collapse: loss of the status of superpower and many territories, damage in the national security system up to inability to defend itself, moral and financial losses of the population.
