Lunacharskii left his wife Anna Lunacharskaia (Bogdanova, 1884-1959), Martov his girlfriend Nadezhda Kristi (1888-1920), who happened to live in the same house at Lake Leman. Both of men were dissidents within their parties. This is the first full length academic publication of their letters.
