Studies of the Sholokhov literary legacy came to a new phase in recent years after the discovery of new materials about and by Sholokhov, first of all his drafts of his best novel The Quiet Don. These new documents caused certain changes in direction and methodology of Sholokhov studies. According to the contributors to this collection, F. Biriukov, G. Ermolaev, N. Glushkov, N. Kornienko, F.
