The science completely supported by the soviet government for all the seventy years of its existence practically collapsed after the fall of the USSR. It includes statistical data about publishing, description of the most interesting publications and a catalog of the main series of publisher "Nauka" and its subdivisions. This book continues the previous book by the same author "Izdatel`skaia Deiatel`nost` Akademii Nauk v Ee Istoricheskom Razvitii: V 2-kh Tomakh (1998-1999)" (also available).
