This is a book of noble good manners in Russian society in the early 19th century. Etiquette norms were reconstructed based on numerous sources: memoirs, travel notes, correspondence. Unlike later times, books on etiquette of the early 19th century did not include concrete rules of behavior, but rather moral and esthetic considerations.
