This book publishes the materials of the conference Slavic Ethnolinguistics and Issues of Studying Folk Culture devoted to the 80th anniversary of outstanding Russian linguist and philologist Nikita Tolstoi (1923-1996). Tolstoi defined Ethnolinguistics in a twofold way: as a linguistic discipline studying the cultural roots and functions of language; and as a complex discipline studying folk culture in all its forms of existence and manifestation.
