This is a collection of correspondence between brothers Aleksandr Bulgakov (1781-1863), senator, the Director of the St. Petersburg Post Office, and Konstantin Bulgakov (1782-1835), a diplomat, and the Director of the Moscow Post Office. They could freely correspond with each other because both were the top officers of the Russian Postal Service. The correspondence covers 1802-1834.
